Ogden, UT – According to the state officials, in 2022, 32 teens lost their lives on Utah roads.
Now, ahead of National Teen Driver Safety Week, family members shared their stories to encourage others to drive safely, be aware of surroundings and focus on teen driver education.
State officials also said that this is reportedly the 15th year the Utah Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), and Utah Department of Public Safety (DPS) have invited families of teen crash victims to share their stories in the Teen Memoriam book.
The book is designed to honor the lives lost, while educating other teens about crash fatalities.
It’s used in driver education classes in more than 140 high schools throughout the state to inform and encourage students to be safe on the road.
