Ogden, UTAH – According to the police officials, the suspect, later identified as Miguel Tovar, was taken into custody on Thursday.
The 25-year-old man reportedly threatened to kill the victim and held her against her will.
Tovar was later charged with multiple charges, including: aggravated kidnapping; stalking; possession of a dangerous weapon, aggravated assault, and domestic violence in the presence of a child.
The suspect and the victim were reportedly staying at an Airbnb in Logan.
During an interview with investigators, the female victim, who was not identified, reportedly said that the suspect became upset with her and brandished a gun, claiming she had cheated on him.
Tovar then pointed it at her and threatened to kill her.
The unidentified victim also attempted to calm the suspect down until he fell asleep but later woke up and threatened her with another firearm, saying he was going to kill her and others.
No shot were ever fired, police officials said.
