Provo, UT – According to the health officials, 14 COVID-19 related deaths were reported as well. Officials say the new cases were confirmed out of 7,878 people tested. The rolling seven-day average daily of positive tests is 1,010 per day. The average rate of people who test positive is 13.6%. Health care workers administered 9,280 more vaccine doses since the previous day, bringing the total number of vaccinations given in the state to 3,166,428. 399 people in the state are hospitalized with the disease.
UTAH – According to the health officials, the masks were purchased using federal money allocated to Utah specifically for fighting the pandemic. Officials say that masks are not required in classrooms for teachers or students when school starts, but there will still be plenty of them on hand if they want to mask up. The Utah Department of Health released the following statement: “Small-sized pediatric masks that are for K-6 students throughout the state.
