OGDEN, Utah – High winds approaching nearly 70 mph in northern Utah led to power outages, damaged homes and delayed the start of schools in Weber County by two hours. The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City says the high wind warning for northern Salt Lake County, as well as Davis and Weber counties, remained in effect until noon Tuesday. OGDEN, Utah – Higher education is important to nontraditional students, but with other big priorities in their lives, such as marriage or children, making time for and having the income to finish school can be difficult. The Weber State University Nontraditional Student Center works with students to bridge that divide. With locations at the Ogden and Davis campuses, the NSC provides scholarships for students who are veterans, over the age of 25, have a spouse or committed partner, are divorced or widowed and/or are a parent.
