OGDEN, Utah — After a mob of President Donald Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol last week, Utah Sen. Mitt Romney signed onto a statement that called the behavior “entirely un-American.” One week later, on the same day that Trump was impeached by the U.S. House for his role in inciting the riot, Ibram X. Kendi told an audience of Weber State University students and community members that the events at the Capitol show “exactly who we are.”

OGDEN, Utah — Soon after arresting a man involved in a domestic violence incident Monday, Ogden police charged the same suspect with stealing an ambulance last week. Police were called to a home overnight after the father of Mitchell Bryce May, 29, reported that he was being violent. Officers found methamphetamine in May’s pocket and were set to arrest him when he ran back into the home. As police attempted to put May in custody, he continued to resist by kicking at officers.
