Ogden, UTAH — North Ogden City has reinstated Police Chief Brian Eynon following a five-week administrative leave prompted by his involvement in a controversial DWI training exercise. The leave was triggered after concerns arose regarding Eynon’s decision to voluntarily consume alcohol during a “wet lab” training, an exercise where participants drink alcohol to reach specific blood alcohol concentration levels, allowing officers to practice field sobriety tests. PARK CITY, Utah — A 55-year-old snowboarder was found buried in snow at Park City Mountain Resort on Wednesday and was later pronounced dead, according to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office. The man, whose identity has not been released, was visiting the area from out of state. Authorities responded to reports of an injured snowboarder at the resort. Upon arrival, emergency teams attempted life-saving efforts, but they were unsuccessful, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
