SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — The Salt Lake City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in solving the 2022 homicide of Anetupou Niualiku, who was fatally shot in the early morning hours of January 23, 2022. At approximately 9:30 a.m. on that Sunday, officers responded to reports of a possible shooting near 130 South 800 West. Upon arriving at the scene, they found Niualiku, 50, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, Niualiku was later pronounced dead from her injuries.
