SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Samuel Teancum Mitchell, 41, of Herriman, appeared in court Wednesday morning facing multiple felony charges related to a 15-year-old runaway girl, authorities said. Mitchell was arrested on May 28 by South Jordan police alongside 35-year-old Matthew Menard of Miami, Florida. Both men are charged in connection to Alisa Petrov, who disappeared for six weeks before turning herself in to police in Colorado Springs on June 1. RIVERTON, Utah — A 16-year-old boy was taken into custody Wednesday evening after allegedly shooting his uncle three times following an argument, authorities said. Officers with the Riverton Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 6:30 p.m. near 13480 South Homestead Lane. According to police spokesperson Josh Lee, the suspect and his 35-year-old uncle were involved in a verbal dispute that escalated outside, spilling into the front yard.
