SANTAQUIN, Utah — Four individuals were hospitalized, one with serious injuries, after a pickup truck rolled on Interstate 15 Sunday evening.
According to Cpl. Michael Gordon of the Utah Highway Patrol, the incident occurred just before 6 p.m. near mile marker 245 in Santaquin. The truck, traveling northbound, reportedly lost control, possibly due to rain-slicked roads.
The driver, along with two passengers, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. One occupant, however, was reported to have more serious injuries and was also taken to the hospital.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, though authorities believe the weather conditions played a role.
Authorities are urging drivers to exercise caution during inclement weather, especially on slick roads. The Utah Highway Patrol has not released further details on the identities of the individuals involved in the crash.
