CEDAR CITY, Utah — A man was pronounced dead following a stabbing incident Wednesday evening in Cedar City. The Iron County Sheriff’s Office, along with a SWAT team, responded to the scene around 5:20 p.m. at a residence located at approximately 4200 West 6800 North.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered two men involved in the incident. One man was immediately taken into police custody and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Tragically, the second man was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police, it appears that the two men were the only individuals involved in the altercation. No other suspects or threats have been identified, and authorities have confirmed that there is no ongoing risk to the public.
The identities of the individuals involved have not yet been released, and the investigation into the nature of the stabbing is ongoing. Local officials have assured the community that the situation remains isolated.
