Ogden, UT – The Ogden Fire Department participated in the grand opening of the Utah Firefighter Health & Wellness Center, part of the Utah Firefighter Cancer Initiative.
The new facility represents the nation’s most comprehensive firefighter cancer screening program.
Supported by the Utah Legislature, the program will provide screenings for more than 500 firefighters annually, aiming to detect and prevent cancer—the leading line-of-duty cause of death among firefighters.
The department expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the milestone possible and reaffirmed its commitment to firefighter health and safety.
