Ogden, UT – Last month, a local Ogden family narrowly escaped a house fire thanks to the quick actions of city first responders. The fire was first noticed by Officer Wade while patrolling the neighborhood, who spotted smoke coming from the roof of the home.
Police officers and the Ogden City Fire Department responded quickly, ensuring that all family members were safely evacuated with no injuries reported.
On February 1, the family was reunited with the officers and firefighters who assisted them that morning. Officials said the meeting was filled with smiles, gratitude, and appreciation for the teamwork that helped prevent a tragedy.
Ogden Police and Fire representatives emphasized that the incident highlights the importance of early detection, fast response, and collaboration between city departments, noting the positive outcome as a reminder of the critical role first responders play in the community.
