OGDEN, Utah — Authorities are investigating a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred early Sunday morning on Washington Blvd. A crew of firefighters responding to an unrelated call discovered the victim’s body around 1 a.m., prompting immediate action from Ogden Police.
The victim, a man believed to be in his 30s, was found in the middle of Washington Blvd, just north of 35th Street. Preliminary information suggests that the man may have been crossing the road outside of an intersection when he was struck by a vehicle.
Police noted that the driver involved in the incident did not remain at the scene. Authorities are actively working to identify both the vehicle and its driver, who left the area before responders arrived.
