Logan, UTAH – According to the city officials, the Primary Election date is Tuesday, August 15, 2023 and the General Election Date is Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Logan elections are non-partisan.
City officials also announced that the municipal council members serve four-year terms and are elected at-large.
The incumbents are:
Council Seat – Mark A. Anderson
Council Seat – Tom Jensen
Council Seat – Jeannie F. Simmonds
Anyone interested in filing for one of these offices must:
* Be a U.S. citizen at the time of filing
* Be a registered voter of Logan City
* Be at least 18 years old
* Be a resident of Logan City for at least 365 consecutive days immediately preceeding the date of election (November 7, 2023)
* Not be a convicted felon
Persons interested in becoming a candidate for office must file a Declaration of Candidacy in person with the Logan City Recorder, 290 North 100 West, Logan, Utah, during regular office hours and not later than 5:00 p.m. from June 1, 2023 through June 7, 2023. The filing forms are available at the City Recorder’s Office. There is no filing fee.
Those elected to fill the open positions will be sworn in and will take office on January 2, 2024.
