Ogden, UTAH – According to the officials, the construction grant award includes $78.3 million to the Utah Transit Authority for the Ogden-Weber State University Bus Rapid Transit.
It also includes 5.3-mile BRT project in Ogden, Utah.
The Ogden-Weber State University BRT project includes construction of 2.2 miles of exclusive bus lanes on the WSU campus, a total of 13 uniquely branded stations, transit signal priority, and purchase of 11 electric vehicles and charging infrastructure.
Officials say that the project includes a new transit center on the WSU campus, and expansion of UTA’s existing Mount Ogden Maintenance facility.
The project will provide riders a clean-air ride in an electric bus from the Ogden’s FrontRunner Station, through downtown, along dedicated bus lanes through the Weber State University campus and to McKay-Dee Hospital.
