Ogden, UT – The Ogden City Police Department announced that two juvenile suspects have been taken into custody in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on October 7 near 5th Street and Gramercy Avenue.
Officers responded to the scene around 2:45 p.m. and found a juvenile victim who had been shot. The victim later succumbed to his injuries.
The first suspect was arrested on October 11, while the second was apprehended two days later in Denver, Colorado, by local law enforcement. The second suspect has since been transported to Utah and is being held in a juvenile detention center pending charges. Authorities have not released identifying information due to the suspects’ ages.
With both suspects now in custody, police confirmed that no additional suspects are being sought.
Detectives continued to follow up on leads over the past several weeks, and officials credited the collaboration between investigators, partner agencies, and the Ogden community for helping locate and safely apprehend the suspects. The department expressed gratitude for the public’s ongoing cooperation and support throughout the investigation.
