Ogden, UTAH – According to the state officials, driver should expect road closures on the following state routes:
State Street in Orem – From Wednesday, April 26 through Monday, May 1, Orem City, in coordination with UDOT, is scheduled to begin nighttime road closures along northbound State Street (US-89) from 1400 South to University Parkway for storm drain and water line installation. Crews will close northbound State Street nightly Wednesday, April 26, through Friday, April 28, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.
On Saturday, April 29 at 8 p.m., crews will again close northbound State Street at 1400 South, and the road will remain closed to traffic through Monday, May 1 at 6 a.m. to complete storm drain/water line installation and repair the road. Northbound traffic will be detoured via 1500 South to 800 East and back to University Parkway (SR-265). Southbound State Street will remain open for drivers, but left turns onto eastbound 1400 South will be prohibited.
800 North/Vineyard Connector in Orem and Vineyard – On Friday, April 28, as early as 8 p.m., 800 North (SR-52)/Vineyard Connector is scheduled to close from Main Street in Vineyard to 1500 West in Orem until Monday, May 1, at 6 a.m. for crews to resurface the road and restripe the Geneva Road intersection to add a second westbound lane. Drivers using 800 North will need to use 400 North and 1500 West as a detour. Drivers using Vineyard Connector will be detoured along Main Street in Vineyard to Orem Center Street.
