Ogden, UT – The Ogden Police Department reported a fatal crash on the evening of March 27 after officers attempted to stop a stolen vehicle in the 2800 block of Quincey Avenue. Officials said the driver failed to yield, striking a police vehicle before fleeing at high speeds. The suspect vehicle ultimately collided with another car at the intersection of 31st Street and Grant Avenue. The second vehicle was occupied by two adults and six children. Ogden, UT – Ogden Police UT officers took part in Read Across America Week last week, visiting several Ogden School District elementary schools to promote literacy and encourage a love of reading among students. During the visits, officers spent time in classrooms, engaged with students, and highlighted the importance of reading, helping strengthen positive relationships with Ogden’s next generation. The department thanked the Ogden School District and teachers for welcoming them into the classrooms.
