BRIGHAM CITY, Utah – A crash involving an ambulance, a semi-truck, and a Rocky Mountain Power truck left several individuals with minor injuries Tuesday afternoon. The incident occurred at approximately 1 p.m. near the intersection of 775 West and 1000 South in Brigham City.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol (UHP), the ambulance was en route to an emergency call with its emergency lights and siren activated. As the ambulance approached the intersection, it stopped for a red light before proceeding through the intersection. However, it collided with a semi-truck that was traveling through the intersection at the time.
The force of the collision caused the ambulance to spin 180 degrees, striking a Rocky Mountain Power truck that was nearby. Both the two medics inside the ambulance and the driver of the Rocky Mountain Power truck sustained minor injuries. Additionally, the semi-truck driver was also treated for minor injuries.
Emergency medical personnel responded quickly to the scene, treating the injured parties before releasing them at the site. Fortunately, no major injuries were reported.
The Utah Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation into the cause of the crash. Authorities have not yet determined the exact circumstances surrounding the incident, but they have emphasized that they are looking into all factors.
