Ogden, UTAH – The Ogden City Government announced that its Community and Economic Development Department will present its proposed FY2026-2027 budget to the Ogden City Council during a work session scheduled for May 26.
The proposal aligns with Mayor Ben Nadolski’s balanced budget plan, which includes no proposed tax increase for residents.
City officials stated the Community and Economic Development Department’s budget focuses on fiscal responsibility while continuing support for infrastructure projects, neighborhood programs, economic development, and long-term planning initiatives across the city.
According to the city, the department reduced its proposed budget by approximately $500,000 compared to the previous year through strategic consolidations, restructuring, and operational efficiencies.
Over the past year, the department’s divisions advanced several community projects, including airport growth and infrastructure improvements, housing and neighborhood programs, business expansion efforts, and the completion of Plan Ogden.
Additional details are expected to be presented during the May 26 council work session.
