OGDEN, Utah — The family of Emily Anderson is feeling a lot of different emotions, mainly helpless, after insurance companies have not responded on how they can move forward after the 39-year-old mother was killed in a car crash in Ogden.
It’s been three dark and gloomy days for the Anderson family.
Brother Steven Knutson said he’s still grappling with the reality of his sister being killed in a car crash that police suspect was caused by an impaired and distracted driver.
“It is more of a shock,” said Knutson. “You don’t plan on people passing away so suddenly.”
Anderson leaves behind her two children and a granddaughter.
“She lived for her granddaughter,” said sister Jen Levie.
Emily’s 18-year-old son has stepped up to help plan funeral arrangements — but hit a bump in the process.
“Insurance companies saying they won’t help whatsover,” said Knutson. “We are looking for additional help.”
