A mom-of-22 whose millionaire husband was arrested on money laundering charges earlier this year revealed she is anxiously waiting for his safe return. According to reports, Kristina, and her husband, Galip, rose to fame when the 25-year-old revealed she had plans to welcome more than 100 children using surrogates. However, their plans for further expanding their family are currently on hold as the businessman, who reportedly owns a bus company and a hotel, was arrested following a police raid on May 31.
The young mom took to social media last month to share how difficult life has become following her 57-year-old husband’s arrest. “Many of you noticed that due to the events that happened in our family, it became more difficult for me to maintain the page,” Kristina reportedly wrote on Instagram. “It’s hard to talk about some everyday things or joys when all thoughts are far away and only busy waiting for my husband to return to our home️. I’m sure this day will come soon, but for now, I want to thank you very much for your support and kind words. It’s very important.”
Kristina shared with her 231k followers on the platform that life had become “hard” without her husband as she was used to him being home. “The feeling of loneliness does not leave me even with so many close people around,” she wrote. “I’m used to the fact that my husband is always at home, always there. Now it’s more difficult for me than ever, I can’t stand silence, I can’t stand his absence, I can’t sleep and wake up alone.” The couple is said to have met in Georgia when Kristina—who already had one child from a previous relationship at the time—was on holiday there from Russia.
According to The Daily Mirror, Ozturk fled to Georgia in 2018 after being sentenced to life imprisonment in relation to a 1996 murder in his home country of Turkey. He is said to have been charged with ordering the murder of a man named Kuvvet Köseoğlu. Kristina and Ozturk are said to have paid a whopping $260,000 to surrogates between March 2020 and July 2021 to birth their 21 children. The couple has since shelled out over $124,000 a year on 16 live-in nannies who care for their brood of babies. Kristina has previously shared that she is willing to spend more than $1.5 million to make her dream of having more than 100 children become a reality.
It is essential to provide counseling and legal paperwork to surrogates in Georgia. “The clinic in Batumi chooses surrogate mothers for us and takes full responsibility for the process,” Kristina explained on social media previously. “We are not personally acquainted with surrogate mothers and do not have direct contact with them in order to avoid problems after pregnancy.”
