EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah – A 5-year-old girl was rushed to the hospital after falling from a second-floor window in the Brylee Farms neighborhood on Sunday evening.
Emergency medical crews were dispatched to the scene around 6 p.m. following reports of the incident. According to officials from the Utah County Sheriff’s Office, the child was playing with other children when she fell out of the window and landed on the gravel below.
The young girl suffered severe bleeding from her head and hip and is suspected of having a broken leg. First responders quickly provided medical attention before transporting her to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Details surrounding the accident remain unclear. Authorities have yet to confirm whether a window screen was in place at the time of the fall, which could have potentially prevented the incident.
Neighbors expressed concern over the tragic event, with many calling it a stark reminder of the importance of child safety in and around the home. Local officials urge homeowners to take extra precautions to secure windows, particularly on upper floors, to prevent similar accidents in the future.
As of now, the child’s condition remains unknown, and authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the fall.
