TOOELE, Utah — A driver is in the hospital following a crash involving a passenger car and a semi-truck on Monday afternoon in Tooele.
According to the Tooele Police Department, the incident occurred on SR-36, between 2200 and 2400 North, when the passenger car, traveling southbound, crossed over the cement divider separating the northbound and southbound lanes. The car then collided with an oncoming semi-truck carrying construction materials.
The driver of the car was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, though no further details on their condition were provided. The semi-truck driver, who suffered minor injuries, declined medical treatment at the scene and did not require hospitalization.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and authorities have not released additional information at this time.
