Family Offers $20,000 Reward for Information Leading to Safe Return of Missing Utah Teen

PROVO, Utah — A week after 15-year-old Alisa Petrov went missing, her family has issued a $20,000 reward for any information that leads directly to her safe return. Petrov, a student at a school in American Fork, was last seen leaving a train in Provo on April 21, 2025.

According to the South Jordan Police Department, surveillance footage from Utah Transit Authority shows Alisa exiting the train, sparking concerns about her whereabouts. Family members confirmed the last sighting, saying they were told by a woman who briefly spoke with Alisa that the teenager had asked about traveling to Las Vegas, Nevada.

Police reports also revealed that Alisa had reportedly approached multiple individuals, inquiring about ways to reach Las Vegas. While it’s not clear whether she planned to travel there on her own or if she was seeking assistance, the mention of the city, combined with her use of social media platforms, has raised alarms. Family members have told local media outlets that Alisa has never run away before, but she had previously expressed an interest in going to Las Vegas.

Alisa’s family has voiced deep concern for her safety, particularly after learning that she has been communicating with individuals on platforms like Snapchat, TikTok, Discord, and Roblox. Authorities believe her social media activity may provide valuable clues to her current location or the people she has been in contact with.

“We just want her home,” Alisa’s mother said in an interview with local news. “We’re doing everything we can to find her and bring her back safely.”

The reward offer is part of the family’s efforts to encourage anyone with information to come forward. Authorities are urging anyone who may have seen Alisa or has information related to her disappearance to contact law enforcement or provide tips anonymously.

As the investigation continues, both police and Alisa’s family remain hopeful that someone will be able to provide the information needed to bring her home. The case highlights growing concerns over online safety and the risks associated with social media platforms, particularly when minors are involved.

Alisa Petrov is described as a 15-year-old girl with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and white sneakers. Anyone with information is asked to contact local law enforcement or call the tip line provided by the family.

The search for Alisa is ongoing, and authorities are working diligently to locate her as quickly as possible.
