Ogden, UT – The City of Ogden is preparing to begin construction on a new all-abilities playground at Lester Park, replacing the existing play area with an updated space designed for children of all ages and abilities.
According to the city, crews will begin removing the current playground starting Tuesday to make way for the new installation.
Officials said the redesigned playground will provide an inclusive environment where children can play, explore and connect regardless of their abilities.
Construction is expected to continue throughout the summer, with the new playground scheduled to open on Oct. 1.
The city also shared renderings of the future playground, offering residents an early look at the project’s design as work gets underway.
Ogden officials said they plan to provide updates on the project’s progress as construction continues over the coming months.
