Ogden, UT – An arrest warrant has been issued for an Ogden man charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing his wife multiple times in front of their two young children. Ullolvis Jose Villareal Camacaro, 33, is facing charges of attempted murder, a first-degree felony, and two counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child, a third-degree felony.
The incident occurred on November 24, when Camacaro reportedly became upset after his wife spoke with a neighbor, triggering a heated argument between the couple. According to court documents, the altercation escalated when Camacaro forcibly pushed his wife into the bathroom while holding a kitchen knife. The victim managed to escape to the kitchen, but Camacaro followed her and stabbed her twice — once in the back and once in the chest.
Authorities say Camacaro also threatened to kill his wife during the attack. The violence took place in front of the couple’s two children, both of whom witnessed the stabbing and heard the threats made by their father. In interviews with police, the children confirmed seeing their father attack their mother and hearing him say he would kill her. The wife managed to flee the home and sought medical attention at a nearby hospital. Police responded to the hospital after being notified about the stabbing.
Camacaro, however, fled the scene before authorities arrived and remains at large. Police have issued an arrest warrant for his capture, but as of Wednesday, his whereabouts were unknown. Domestic violence experts have expressed concern over the severe nature of the attack, particularly the trauma caused to the children who witnessed the violence. Authorities are urging anyone with information about Camacaro’s whereabouts to come forward.
This case highlights the ongoing issue of domestic violence and the devastating impact it can have on victims and their families, particularly children who are often exposed to such violence.
As the investigation continues, authorities are focusing on locating Camacaro and bringing him to justice.
