Ogden, UT – Ogden city officials have formalized a pilot program aimed at helping legal immigrants in Weber County navigate the complex process of becoming U.S. citizens. The new initiative, known as the Path to Citizenship program, was introduced to assist the nearly 60,000 legal permanent residents in Utah who are eligible for naturalization, with approximately 3,300 of those residents residing in Weber County. Linda Lartigue, head of Ogden’s Office of Community Engagement, has played a key role in developing the program. Ogden, Utah — Two individuals were transported to the hospital following a serious crash on Powder Mountain Road earlier this week. According to the Weber County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred on January 16 at approximately 3:30 p.m. Deputies responded to reports of a crash near 5300 North Powder Mountain Road, where they found a box truck that had lost control. The vehicle veered off the road and crashed into the mountain after going into the right shoulder. Both the driver and the passenger were ejected from the truck due to the severity of the crash.
