Ogden, UTAH – According to the state officials, SB 16, which was reportedly signed by Gov. Cox, creates the Office of Professional Licensure Review, which will evaluate all requirements for licensure to ensure they are current and do not represent an undue burden for practicing in a regulated field. The bill, sponsored by Senator Curtis Bramble and Representative Joel Ferry, was passed by the Utah legislature in February. Ogden, UTAH – According to the Utah Department of Transportation, US-40 will be reduced to one eastbound (southbound) lane 24 hours a day through early August while crews complete work to replace the driving surface on the bridge over the Provo River. As part of the project, the Utah Department of Transportation will implement a highway crossover, which will shift all traffic from the eastbound lanes into the westbound lanes while crews replace the eastbound bridge deck.
