OGDEN, UTAH — A 58-year-old man died Tuesday afternoon after losing control of his motorcycle on Airport Road. The crash occurred just after 1 p.m. when Shaun Peat was traveling north at a high rate of speed near 4000 North.
According to Ogden police, Peat lost control of the motorcycle and veered off the roadway. He sustained significant injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Despite efforts to save him, Peat was pronounced dead after arriving at the hospital.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident. Authorities have closed Airport Road for the remainder of the afternoon as they investigate the crash and clear the scene.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation, and officials are urging anyone with information to come forward.
