PRICE, Utah — A shooting that unfolded near 4 East Main Street on Monday evening has left multiple people hospitalized, with one person in critical condition.
According to a press release from local authorities, the incident began when a woman was confronted by her ex-boyfriend. The confrontation escalated as the woman fled toward a nearby pharmacy, with the man reportedly firing multiple shots at her.
At least one of the shots struck the woman, leaving her with serious injuries. She was quickly transported to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities later found the suspect, who had suffered what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was also transported to the hospital in critical condition. In addition, a third person in the area at the time of the shooting was injured while attempting to flee the scene.
Fortunately, their injuries were not life-threatening.
No officers were involved in the incident, according to officials. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to piece together the events that led to the shooting. The identities of those involved have not been released at this time.
The Price Police Department is urging anyone with information to come forward as they continue to investigate the case.
