Ogden, UT – The Ogden Police Department is continuing its recognition of dispatchers during National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, extending appreciation to those working overnight shifts and acknowledging their role in emergency response operations.
In a recent message, the department noted that officers made a visit to dispatchers working the night shift to show support as the week of recognition came to a close. The visit included a gesture of appreciation from the department, along with food provided by El Changarro Loco Ogden.
Officials highlighted the ongoing work of Weber Area Dispatch 911 & Emergency Services District, which provides emergency communications support for the region. Dispatchers were credited as an essential link between the public and first responders, handling emergency calls and coordinating police, fire, and medical responses.
The department emphasized gratitude for dispatchers not only during the designated awareness week, but throughout the year, recognizing their consistent role in public safety and emergency coordination.
