ST. GEORGE, Utah — A man was arrested in Las Vegas on February 2 after robbing a small St. George business at gunpoint. Dennis Solares, 30, was taken into custody at a hotel in Las Vegas after a multi-agency investigation led to his identification and location.
The incident occurred on January 30 at the Tiendita Luzita Mini-Market in St. George. Officers with the St. George Police Department responded to the scene after receiving reports of a robbery. The suspect, later identified as Solares, fled the scene before authorities arrived.
Following the robbery, the St. George Police Department partnered with several law enforcement agencies to track down the suspect. The Nevada Violent Offender Task Force played a crucial role in locating Solares, eventually finding him in a hotel room in Las Vegas.
Solares was arrested without incident and is now facing multiple charges related to the robbery. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crime.
