Ogden, UT — A rollover crash on Friday morning left two people injured, one critically, according to the Utah Highway Patrol (UHP).
The incident occurred around 9:15 a.m. on northbound I-15 near 24th Street. Authorities report that the vehicle, for reasons still under investigation, veered off the roadway and rolled over. Both occupants of the vehicle were not wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
The passenger, who was ejected from the vehicle during the rollover, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. The driver, who also sustained injuries, was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
UHP Cpl. Jared Heywood confirmed that the cause of the crash remains under investigation. Authorities are urging drivers to always wear seat belts to help prevent such serious injuries in the event of an accident.
