Ogden, UT – The Ogden City Fire Department welcomed community members to its recent open house, giving families an opportunity to explore fire trucks, meet firefighters and learn important safety skills.
In a Facebook post, the department thanked everyone who attended the event, highlighting activities that allowed visitors to get an up-close look at the equipment and work involved in serving the community.
Families were able to see fire trucks and other equipment, meet members of the fire crews and watch live demonstrations. Attendees also had the opportunity to practice using a fire hose and learn more about fire safety and seatbelt safety.
The event offered residents an opportunity to interact with firefighters outside of emergency situations while learning more about the department’s work and the importance of being prepared for emergencies.
The department said one of the most meaningful parts of the open house was the chance to spend time with the people it serves.
“More than anything, we appreciated the chance to spend the evening with the people we serve,” the department wrote.
Ogden City Fire Department also thanked the vendors and everyone who helped organize the event and make the community gathering possible.
The department expressed appreciation for the strong community participation and said it was already looking forward to next year’s open house.
The event provided families with an opportunity to learn about emergency response, explore firefighting equipment and take part in hands-on activities designed to promote safety and awareness.
