OGDEN, Utah – Utah health officials reported a cumulative 5,042 new COVID-19 cases for New Year’s Day and Saturday, as well as 25 additional deaths. Of the total new cases, 3,110 would have been reported on Friday if not for the holiday, and 1,932 on Saturday, according to the Utah Department of Health. OGDEN, Utah — A 23-year-old Ogden woman was charged with aggravated assault, a third-degree felony, after she allegedly choked her fiance with a lanyard until he lost consciousness.
