Ogden, UT – The Ogden City Police Department is honoring the life and service of an officer who was killed in the line of duty more than a decade ago while protecting the community. Agent Jared Daniel Francom was critically injured on the evening of January 4, 2012, while assisting with a drug-related search warrant at a residence on Jackson Avenue. He died shortly after midnight on January 5, 2012. Five other officers from multiple agencies were also injured during the incident.
