Ogden, UT – The City of Ogden is preparing to begin construction on a new all-abilities playground at Lester Park, replacing the existing play area with an updated space designed for children of all ages and abilities. According to the city, crews will begin removing the current playground starting Tuesday to make way for the new installation. OGDEN, Utah — The Ogden Police Department recently hosted a Law Enforcement Bike Association (LEBA) training program, bringing together officers from agencies across northern Utah to receive certification as bike patrol officers. According to the department, the training provided officers with the skills and certification needed to serve in bike patrol roles within their communities. Police officials said bike patrol officers play an important role in community policing by maintaining a visible presence and allowing officers to navigate parks, trails, special events, and other busy areas more easily than traditional patrol vehicles.
